Detailed Description

Runtime-queryable library metadata.

Lets callers (filesystem integrations, bindings) discover the supported level range and the version at runtime instead of from compile-time constants alone.

Function Documentation

◆ zxc_default_level()

int zxc_default_level ( void  )

Default compression level.

Returns
ZXC_LEVEL_DEFAULT (3).

Default compression level.

Returns the value of ZXC_LEVEL_DEFAULT (currently 3).

Definition at line 1172 of file zxc_common.c.

References ZXC_LEVEL_DEFAULT.

◆ zxc_max_level()

int zxc_max_level ( void  )

Maximum supported compression level.

Returns
ZXC_LEVEL_ULTRA (7).

Maximum supported compression level.

Returns the value of ZXC_LEVEL_ULTRA (currently 7).

Definition at line 1165 of file zxc_common.c.

References ZXC_LEVEL_ULTRA.

◆ zxc_min_level()

int zxc_min_level ( void  )

Minimum supported compression level.

Returns
ZXC_LEVEL_FASTEST (1).

Minimum supported compression level.

Returns the value of ZXC_LEVEL_FASTEST (currently 1). This allows integrators to discover the level range at runtime without relying on compile-time macros alone.

Definition at line 1158 of file zxc_common.c.

References ZXC_LEVEL_FASTEST.

◆ zxc_version_string()

const char * zxc_version_string ( void  )

Library version string, "MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH".

Returns
Null-terminated compile-time constant; do not free.

Library version string, "MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH".

The returned pointer is a compile-time constant and must not be freed. Format: "MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH".

Definition at line 1180 of file zxc_common.c.
